Mr. Cortez brings value to the Partnership team through his leadership, training, experience, knowledge, corporate and government relationships. He has graduated from over twenty different leadership programs.
Mr. Cortez has a documented history of numerous achievements and accomplishments such as being Chairman of over seventeen different business and nonprofit organizations. Mr. Cortez, as President, led the Houston Hispanic Chamber 1978-1982, Victoria Hispanic Chamber 1984-1989, Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber 1990-2001 and the Texas Hispanic Chamber 2008-2009. He has been recognized for his leadership abilities by over twenty five different business and non-profit organizations.
Mr. Cortez, as a business consultant has mentored numerous businesses who have gone on to be very successful. As Assistant Vice President he led the Minority Procurement, Economic Development Department at the Dallas Area Rapid Transit from 2001 to 2008 while overseeing billions of dollars in construction contracts. He is a skilled professional, a proven Leader and a high achiever with extensive training and experience with top level business and government organizations.
